Dr. Markus Franke, formerly a Partner and member of the Board at cLabs, is a co-designer of the Mento Protocol and CEO & Founder of Mento Labs. The Mento Protocol is a platform for sustainable transparent assets, Mento Labs a digital asset solutions company. Markus is a co-creator of Celo, a sustainable mobile-first L1 blockchain and has been working at the intersection of finance, economics, and research for the past 15+ years, including at J.P.Morgan, Merrill Lynch, risklab, AllianzGI, and at various research institutions including the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Columbia Business School in New York and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He holds a PhD in economics.
